To the right is a short film about the QR Code Poetry Project which was one of the Coleridge Way threads. Christopher took pupils out along the trail with artist and teacher Jenny Mash to word harvest and create poetry inspired by the natural world in much the same way as Coleridge and Wordsworth did 200 years ago. All the words in the film are the pupils, and I hope to be working with a further three schools Easter 2014.
The Salt Way film explains the storywalk concept and was filmed in Kent 2013.
Enjoy browsing these images from past walkers and other works by Mr Jelley including the Poetry Ramble, Lynmouth Pavilion exhibition, the Gather-ing and Storywalks in schools.
Below are images from Christophers storywalks two of which encourage you to be creative; others ask you to be interactive. To help rescue the Fairie in The Winding Charm you have to make your own charms from finds on your journey - leaves, flowers, twigs, feathers or stones. Anything natural & biodegradable, as they are to be released down stream for the 'magic' to work! The Watching Way involves making clock faces in the woods from logs, bracken, twigs and berries.
