Tales from the Combe
Christopher Jelley
A HAPPY STORYWALKER!
The Winding Charm, my daughter was half believing it, and thought the gate opened magically when I whispered into it. After dropping our charm into the stream, we had to literally run... Well not giving any more away-but children will enjoy the story that goes with this well thought out and planned app.

HIDDEN HISTORIES SECRET STORIES
STORYWALKS SHINE
Christopher has been working with a cluster of school in Frome who are trialing the storywalk engine in their schools to see if they can lift literacy and learning with years 2 to 6.
This work has been made possible through a grant from the SHINE Trust.
Have a look at our schools page or go to the storywalks website designed specifically for schools.
This March 2015 saw the launch of three new trails in Minehead titled Hidden Histories and Secret Stories of Minehead which build on the success of the previous three trails - The Parks Walks launched earlier in 2014.
'The Parks Walks Trails were created to be like a skimming stone of interesting things, not too heavy but still informative. They include folklore and interesting history all focused around the unique tree specimens which have been planted over the years.' said Christopher

POETRY PIN PUBLICATION
A Walk Down the Rift - Fly Catcher Press
The Poetry Pin book - A Walk Down the Rift (Fly Catcher Press) has now been released. Documenting a year of reading, writing and walking in the shadow of Hinkley C in Somerset.
Digital poetry is still available along the trail between Shurton and the sea which runs to the west of the EDF Nuclear development.
It has been an amazing project to lead and looking forward to furture Poetry Pin trails.
GATHER-ING Somerset Art Works
Incredible interpretation commission for Storywalks as four artists were tasked with creating new works to be exhibited at the Tithe barn in Stoke Sub Hamdon.
The exhibition and barn was open for just two weekends at the beginning of Somerset Arts Week in October (3rd 4th - 10th 11th).
It was designed to celebrate tithing and the history of the barn in all its guises. Lead artist Stuart Easton created a quilt depicting St Nicholas and the three pickled boys which was executed with the Stoke Sub Hamdon community.
More info about the works from the

Labyrinth is freshly cut at Pack Horse Bridge, Dunster. Watch this space for more of these over the coming year!
Just stand on the door of the trail, make a wish and then count your steps down from 99, the closer you are to zero when you reach the heart of the tree labyrinth then the more likely your wish will come true!
